The Refrigeration Technician 1 is responsible for recording daily readings for the ammonia, boiler, and air systems, and performing assigned preventative maintenance (PMs) on these systems. This role requires regular attendance and punctuality due to the small department size and the critical nature of the work. The technician will also assist Ammonia Technicians with projects and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
0-2 years of mechanical experience.
Must be able to pass and maintain annual medical and pulmonary fit tests for respirator use.
Must be able to perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, and moving around the systems.
Refrigerated food manufacturing plants experience preferred.
Use of technology such as computers, mobile devices, etc. preferred.

Responsibilities

Record daily readings for the ammonia, boiler, and air systems.
Complete assigned PMs in a timely manner.
Periodic use and maintenance of fitted full face respirator.
Assist Ammonia Technicians with periodic projects.
Regular attendance and punctuality are required due to working within a small department.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
