About The Position

The Refrigeration Technician 1 is responsible for recording daily readings for the ammonia, boiler, and air systems, and performing assigned preventative maintenance (PMs) associated with these systems. This role is crucial for maintaining the operational efficiency of the facility's refrigeration and related systems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 0-2 years of mechanical experience.
• Must be able to pass and maintain annual medical and pulmonary fit tests for respirator use.
• Must be able to perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, and moving around the systems.
• Must be in training for at least one year before becoming eligible to progress to a Refrigeration Technician 2.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in refrigerated food manufacturing plants.
• Familiarity with technology such as computers and mobile devices.

Responsibilities

• Record daily readings for the ammonia, boiler, and air systems.
• Complete assigned PMs in a timely manner.
• Perform periodic use and maintenance of a fitted full-face respirator.
• Assist Ammonia Technicians with periodic projects.
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
