Responsibilities

Interpret engineering drawings.
Use engineering drawings, verbal/written instructions to assemble and route piping in HVAC units.
Soldering.
Brazing.
Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly.
Change out refrigerant tanks and other gasses.
Must be capable of using oxy-natural gas torch brazing equipment.
Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs. without the use of lifting equipment.
Must have a working knowledge of brazing equipment and common hand tool use including measuring equipment.
Pipe fabrication.
May be required to perform simple wire connections, per drawings, etc.
Complete unit paperwork and QC checklist.
Work involves varying degrees of precision and control where injury or damage could be caused by lack of required skill.
Reporting of defective equipment to Supervisor and securing any defective equipment that presents a safety risk.
Gain knowledge of applicable health and safety guidelines, as well as plant safety rules to perform duties safely and in compliance with all KCC rules and regulations.
Participate in toolbox talks & monthly training.
Take every reasonable precaution for the protection of yourself and your coworkers.
Take immediate action to address unsafe acts or conditions and report issues to management.
Assist in accident investigations (as needed) to identify and correct root cause in a timely manner.
Complete accident and incident reports (including Near Miss) in a timely manner.
Ability to meet the safety/physical requirements of the job.
