This role is responsible for monitoring building equipment for safety and performing repairs. Key duties include troubleshooting refrigeration, HVAC, mechanical, and electrical problems, documenting solutions, and making recommendations for further action. The position requires maintaining a high technical level in troubleshooting and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment, managing communications for service calls, and ensuring compliance with state and local codes through current licenses, inspections, permits, and certificates. The technician will also operate EMS building controls and automation systems, fine-tuning operating parameters, adjusting set points and schedules, and understanding/modifying building control sequences. Administrative tasks include ordering materials, writing purchase orders, and data entry for work and refrigerant leak reports using company-provided electronics. All duties must be performed in a timely, efficient, and professional manner, maintaining a neat, clean, and safe work area.
