About The Position

The Refrigeration Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining all plant utilities equipment, including boilers, air and ammonia compressors, condensers, steam control systems, and fire suppression. For a Tech I, this also includes supporting buildings and grounds work, such as lighting, plumbing, and equipment relocation. You will report to the Maintenance Manager. You will work at our Indianapolis Bakery plant, and earn $29.00 per hour.

Requirements

• High School or GED required.
• Some maintenance experience required.
• Can understand blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Receive training to perform maintenance job duties.
• Review the work schedule, check equipment and supplies required to perform the work scheduled, and prepare for operations. This will include Preventative Maintenance.
• Conduct shift turnovers to coordinate line calls, review assigned maintenance tasks, pending equipment issues, provide assistance to line operations and guide outside contractors.
• Review emergency and non-emergency situations and respond.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and install various types of electrical and production equipment.
• Support the Conagra Performance System.
• Understand blueprints.
• Complete preventative maintenance tasks and use maintenance software to ensure an efficient flow of production.
• Assist all with repairs.
• Provide inputs to supervisors to schedule maintenance.
