Responsibilities

  • Making and installing refrigeration & water subassembly assemblies for production products.
  • Cutting, bending, and brazing copper tubing to make subassemblies, including the installation of refrigeration specialty components.
  • Utilizing Viega ProPress fittings and tooling to make subassemblies.
  • Working from production schedules, bills of material (BOM), drawings, diagrams, Engineering Change Notifications (ECN), and work instructions.
  • Identifying, validating, and inspecting components, subassemblies, and purchased parts to meet system refrigeration & water piping specifications and job requirements for Munters standard HVAC units.
  • Assisting with component validation on custom units as required.
  • Notifying supervisor or cell leader of any material discrepancies.
  • Making and/or installing pre-assembled piping utilizing prescribed methods for prep, installation, brazing, pressure testing, evacuation, and charging.
  • Installing required labels for electrical components.
  • Checking for proper electrical operation of the HVAC unit upon completion of the wiring process.
  • Cleaning the unit and work area.
  • Recording time per unit.
  • Maintaining a safe and organized work area.
  • Notifying team leader or other appropriate resource when problems arise concerning equipment, operations, materials, inventory, or documentation.
  • Performing or assisting with any operations throughout the factory as required to maintain workflow and meet schedules and quality requirements.
  • Assembling sheet metal parts and components using various hand and power tools.
  • Installing electrical, gas, and air conditioning equipment.
  • Maintaining work areas in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Consistently operating in keeping with all safety rules and requirements.
  • Participating in meetings and work groups to integrate activities, assist with training new employees, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and maintain knowledge of new developments, requirements, and policies.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.
