About The Position

This position is a starter position in the Refrigeration Department to perform cleaning/washing Ammonia refrigeration air units and HVAC /MAUs units on the roof, change filters, clean roof area, etc. The role involves shadowing Refrigeration Techs to be trained in the ammonia refrigeration system and will be considered for any future Refrigeration Tech positions open. Responsibilities include creating Maintenance Notifications, work orders, and confirming time into the SAP system. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Ability to work in hot/cold/wet environments
Ability to push, pull, or lift over 40 lbs.
Ability to climb ladders above 10 feet
Ability to walk and stand approximately 8.5 hours/day on a concrete floor
Ability to work 6 days a week, be off during the week, and work on weekends and holidays as scheduled
Willingness to rotate shifts as needed
Willingness to work overtime as needed
Pass a Level 4 pulmonary function test and physical, and be recertified each year
Must be clean shaven for proper fit with APR/SCBA equipment
Must be a member of the Plant Hazmat Team
Ability to complete Refrigeration and General Maintenance computer-based training
1 year maintenance experience within the immediate past 2 years
Must not have worked for Tyson more than a total of 3 times prior
Must have completed at least 180 days since last employment with Tyson
Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
