About The Position

Refrigeration applicants will be considered for any open refrigeration maintenance Tech positions. If an applicant meets the minimum requirements for consideration, they may be contacted for an interview. Applicants must be willing to work overtime and weekends. Some departments are hot/wet, and some are cold/wet. The position requires pushing, pulling, or lifting over 40 lbs. and climbing ladders above 10 feet. The work schedule is 6 days a week and 7 if production works on Saturday. The position requires standing approximately 8.5 hours/day on a concrete floor. Requires being a member of the Plant Hazmat Team. Must be able to complete computer-based training and enter work into the SAP system. Requires using SCBA equipment. All other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

  • At least 6 months of industrial refrigeration experience or be a recent graduate from an accredited school for industrial refrigeration.
  • Pass a Level 4 pulmonary function test and physical, and be recertified each year.
  • Be clean shaven to get a proper fit while using SCBA equipment.
  • Have relevant work experience documented in the work history section of the application or upload a resume with work history experience.
  • Provide government identification number for verification of previous Tyson employment history.
  • Not have worked for Tyson Foods more than 3 times.
  • Be rehired after 180 days (subject to Tyson's discretion for longer waiting periods or denial based on dismissal reason).
  • Be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
