Refrigeration Maintenance, 2nd shift , Albertville, AL (JUNE)
About The Position
Tyson Foods is seeking Refrigeration Maintenance Technicians for their Albertville, AL facility. Applicants will be considered for any open refrigeration maintenance technician positions. If an applicant meets the minimum requirements, they may be contacted for an interview. This role requires a willingness to work overtime and weekends, with a schedule of 6 days a week, and potentially 7 if production works on Saturday. Some work environments are hot/wet, while others are cold/wet. The position involves physical demands such as pushing, pulling, or lifting over 40 lbs, and climbing ladders above 10 feet. Standing for approximately 8.5 hours a day on a concrete floor is also required. The role includes membership in the Plant Hazmat Team and requires the ability to complete computer-based training and enter work into the SAP system, as well as using SCBA equipment. All other duties assigned by management will also be part of the responsibilities.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of industrial refrigeration experience OR be a recent graduate from an accredited school for industrial refrigeration.
- Pass a Level 4 pulmonary function test and physical, and be recertified each year.
- Be clean shaven to ensure a proper fit while using SCBA equipment.
- Relevant work experience documented in the work history section of the application or uploaded resume.
- Provide government identification number for verification of previous Tyson employment history.
- Have worked for Tyson Foods no more than 3 times.
- Be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
