About The Position

This position is responsible for operating and maintaining refrigeration systems while maintaining a safe work environment and following Tyson policies and procedures. Applicants may be considered for any open refrigeration maintenance technician position and may be contacted for an interview if they meet the minimum requirements. Internal candidates are considered first; qualified external candidates may be considered if no internal candidates meet the requirements. The schedule is six days per week, and may be seven days if production works on Saturday. Applicants must be willing to work overtime and weekends and must serve on the Plant Hazmat Team. The role requires computer-based training and entering work into the SAP system, as well as use of SCBA equipment. Candidates must be clean-shaven to ensure proper SCBA fit, pass a Level 4 pulmonary function test and physical, and be recertified annually to maintain the position. Other duties may be assigned by management.

Requirements

At least 6 months of industrial refrigeration experience, or recent graduation from an accredited school for industrial refrigeration.
Willingness to work overtime and weekends.
Ability to push, pull, or lift more than 40 lbs. and climb ladders above 10 feet.
Ability to stand approximately 8.5 hours per day on a concrete floor.
Ability to pass a Level 4 pulmonary function test and physical, with annual recertification required to maintain the position.
Must be clean-shaven to obtain a proper fit while using SCBA equipment.
Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
