About The Position

The Refrigeration Maintenance - Team Leader at Milwaukee, WI site will be responsible for independently completing assigned work orders (P.M. tasks) and corrective and preventive maintenance of equipment, facilities, and other utility systems upon successful completion of required training curriculum. This position requires flexibility to work a variety of shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays, on-call, and call-in).

Requirements

  • Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED
  • HVAC certification

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years’ experience in industrial refrigeration
  • Braising and soldering skills.
  • Knowledge of local building codes.
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and compliance schematics.
  • Advanced mechanical and diagnostic skills.
  • Possesses strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills, with a proven track reference for maintaining strict good documentation practices (GDP).

Responsibilities

  • Identify unsafe work conditions, complete safety reports, and follow all safety rules and regulations.
  • Utilizes the Management of Change Process and Non-Conformance Report for changes.
  • Read and write clear work instructions, procedures, and drawings/schematics.
  • Install climate control systems, refrigeration units, and beverage equipment.
  • Observing and testing newly installed systems, as well as troubleshooting refrigeration equipment failures.
  • Maintaining stock levels.
  • Replacing worn seals, outer shells, and worn-out motors.
  • Assist with process improvement.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, basic shop tools (grinder, drill press, sand blaster, band saw, etc.), and forklift/man lift.
  • Utilize hoists, rigging equipment, as well as troubleshoot and repair packaging equipment.
  • Utilize precision measuring, electrical testing, calibration, and recovery equipment.
  • Reference NEC code book and NFPA to update files and paperwork thoroughly and meticulously.
  • Read gauges, understand units of measure, and identify parts needed for a repair.
  • Guide and direct contractors and other technicians in completing work.
  • Participate with department audits and work with engineering department.
