About The Position

We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Maintenance Team Leader to become part of the maintenance department and ensure optimal reliability of our production equipment and facilities. The Team Leader provides technical guidance to the maintenance crew during field work, ensures tasks are executed safely and to the required quality standard, and acts as the primary point of contact for technical issues requiring immediate field resolution. This role does not carry planning, scheduling, or direct personnel supervision authority.

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in fuel terminals, LPG facilities, petrochemical plants, or similar regulated environments.
  • Experience executing preventive and corrective maintenance tasks on mechanical, piping, and/or electrical systems.
  • Experience working within a Permit to Work system and industrial HSE requirements.
  • Solid knowledge of mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and oversee preventive maintenance (PM) programs for storage tanks, piping systems, pumps, valves, motors, fire protection systems, and instrumentation.
  • Analyze equipment history and performance data to support predictive maintenance strategies and failure trend identification.
  • Periodically review PM task lists for effectiveness and propose updates based on operational data and regulatory changes.

  • Supervise and guide maintenance technicians during daily field activities, ensuring compliance with work plans, safety standards, and quality requirements.
  • Verify that all work orders are properly executed, documented in the CMMS, and closed with accurate labor, materials, and findings recorded.
  • Conduct pre-job briefings (toolbox talks) and confirm all permits, isolations, and PPE requirements are in place before work begins.
  • Confirm system integrity and proper restoration before returning equipment to service.
  • Report field execution progress, findings, and deviations to the Maintenance Supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Actively promote a safety-first culture within the maintenance crew and among contractors on site.
  • Ensure full compliance with Permit to Work (PTW), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, hot work, and working-at-height procedures before and during all maintenance activities.
  • Identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and equipment anomalies; prepare and submit observation/nonconformity reports per company HSE policy.
  • Participate in HSE inspections, safety audits, hazard identification (HAZID), and Management of Change (MOC) reviews related to maintenance scope.
  • Support emergency response readiness of critical systems (fire pumps, ESD valves, alarms, deluge systems).
  • Create, update, and close work orders in the CMMS with accurate cost, labor, and technical data.
  • Maintain equipment history records, asset registers, and maintenance files in an organized and audit-ready state.
  • Provide accurate field data and work order feedback to the Maintenance Supervisor to support reporting, cost tracking, and performance analysis.
  • Coordinate on-site contractor activities, ensuring scopes of work are executed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Verify contractor compliance with site safety rules, Permit To Work requirements, and HSE standards before and during work.
  • Expedite critical material and service orders, coordinating with Procurement to avoid schedule delays.
  • Report contractor performance observations and field quality issues to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to maintenance technicians during field tasks, promoting quality workmanship and adherence to procedures.
  • Identify technical skill gaps within the crew and communicate training needs to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Serve as the primary technical reference point during field operations when the Maintenance Supervisor is unavailable.
  • Foster a positive working environment and maintain effective communication with Operations and HSE teams.
