About The Position

Gateway Mechanical is hiring Journeypersons and Apprentices who excel under pressure and take pride in their work. This role involves both service calls and project work, requiring technicians to handle breakdowns, install systems correctly, and troubleshoot complex problems with minimal guidance. Requirements

• Journeyperson Certification OR Registered Apprentice
• 2+ years experience (or solid progression as an apprentice)
• Can handle on-call without vanishing
• Valid Class 5 license

Nice To Haves

• Supermarket experience
• Gas ticket
• First Aid, WHMIS, CSTS
• Fall Protection, AWP, H2S

Responsibilities

• Bounce between service calls and project work
• Handle breakdowns that can’t wait
• Install systems that need to be done right the first time
• Walk into problems with zero instructions… and figure them out anyway
• Diagnose fast — and accurately
• Repair & maintain commercial / industrial HVACR systems
• Install & retrofit equipment without cutting corners
• Read drawings
• Handle documentation: clean, accurate, and fully digital
• Earn customer confidence by knowing what you’re doing
