About The Position

As a Refrigeration Construction Pipefitter, you will install supermarket refrigeration systems, including electrical components, piping, and refrigeration fixtures. The work includes piping cooler boxes, overhead lines, compressor rooms or houses, and refrigeration cases. You will install pipe hangers as directed by the Foreman, braze and insulate piping, and support the Construction Foreman as needed. The role requires following safety protocols and setting a positive example regarding safety. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

Travel is required 50% of the time or when needed. Work shifts vary according to project requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience pipefitting supermarket refrigeration systems.
• Valid state-issued driver's license.
• Strong working knowledge of plumbing and pipefitting, including piping supermarket refrigeration equipment.
• Knowledge of brazing refrigeration piping.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and ability to wire installations.
• Ability to read refrigeration, electrical, and plumbing blueprints.
• Ability to hang evaporator coils and install overhead hangers.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Ability to travel 50% of the time or when required; shifts vary based on project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Install pipe hangers as directed by the Foreman.
• Braze, insulate, and hang piping.
• Assist the Construction Foreman as needed.
• Follow all safety protocols and serve as a safety example to others.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
