About The Position

For experienced refrigerated container and chassis technicians, this role is about passing down the knowledge that keeps people safe and equipment moving. You’ll work directly with students and systems, turning real experience into real capability. This is hands-on leadership—not classroom theory.

Requirements

Willingness to travel up to 50% (Monday–Friday)
Experience in: chassis and trailer repair, reefer unit maintenance and repair
Ability to obtain a TWIC card
Professional experience with transport or commercial refrigeration
Strong working knowledge of refrigeration systems and controls
Comfort with basic electrical troubleshooting
Ability to explain why a fix matters—not just how to do it
Willingness to mentor and set a strong example
No teaching background required experience and credibility matter most.

Nice To Haves

Generator experience
AWS Welding certification
Familiarity with IICL and/or FMCSA standards

Responsibilities

Teach hands-on troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of refrigerated containers, transport refrigeration systems, and chassis/trailer repair
Demonstrate real-world diagnostics, safe work practices, and best-in-field standards
Train students on systems including: Refrigerant cycle including compressors, condensers, and evaporators; Refrigeration controls and basic electrical diagnostics; Diesel-powered generator units; ABS braking systems
Coach students through live tasks and skill development
Track progress and provide clear, practical feedback
Help keep labs and equipment safe, organized, and industry-ready
