Trailer Technician
About The Position
Hirschbach is seeking Trailer Technicians at our Conklin, NY shop! You will complete preventative maintenance and minor repairs on one of the newest and fully featured fleets. Requirements
- 2+ years of fleet maintenance experience
- Experience of diagnosing and repairing Class 8 equipment
- Familiarity with diagnostic software and computer-based repair tools
- Valid driver's license required
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical maintenance tasks
- Proficient English communication skills (speaking, reading and writing)
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
- CDL A or B also a plus
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair trailer and Class 8 equipment issues
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs
- Complete repair orders and maintenance documentation accurately and on time
- Identify and properly classify repairs, including: Preventative maintenance, Component failure, Abuse, Accident-related damage
- Record parts, materials, and repair details using company systems
- Document repair stories, root causes, and corrective actions to support warranty recovery
- Perform welding and fabrication repairs as needed
- Other duties as assigned
