About The Position

A Refreshment Mechanic at American Food & Vending repairs, maintains, and installs vending machines and beverage dispensers for water and coffee. The role includes checking equipment and machine function, maintaining inventory, ordering repair parts, and keeping service records. Mechanics connect water pipes and electrical wiring and ensure installations meet applicable plumbing, electrical, and sanitation codes and standards. They also respond to service calls, diagnose malfunctions, and transport machines to the repair shop when needed. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of microprocessors, integrated circuits, robotics, and automated functions.
• Ability to lift 40+ pounds as needed and to bend, walk, drive, and climb stairs.
• Valid state driver's license in good standing.

Nice To Haves

• Technical school, certification, or an associate degree in a related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience with POS or kiosk systems.

Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain, and install vending machines and water and coffee beverage dispensers.
• Perform routine checks on motors, keypads, and other equipment to ensure machines are functioning properly.
• Maintain vending inventories, order repair parts, and keep service records.
• Connect water pipes and electrical wires, ensuring installations comply with plumbing, electrical, and sanitation codes and standards.
• Conduct routine maintenance, including cleaning and oiling machine parts and adjusting pressure gauges and thermostats.
• Respond to service calls by visually inspecting machines for issues such as loose wires or leaks and, when needed, using diagnostic equipment to identify the source and extent of malfunctions.
• Transport machines to the repair shop for maintenance and inspection as needed.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
