About The Position

The Referrals Specialist will be responsible for connecting our firm with other top-tier law firms and ensuring that clients are referred to the most appropriate and capable hands. They will be the bridge between our firm and other firms, maintaining relationships, tracking outcomes, and guaranteeing client satisfaction. In addition, the Referrals Specialist will be responsible for communicating with prospective clients to answer any questions they have about the firm. The position will have considerable emphasis on handling the intake of clients who are referred to our firm. They will work to get them to sign a retainer agreement and promptly update the referral firm as necessary. This position is critical to the success of the firm as it impacts both new client engagements and new firm relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, law, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-3 years experience in a similar role or within the legal industry.
  • Strong understanding of various legal practices and specialties.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Negotiation skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficient in the use of law firm case management software, (Litify- preferred).
  • High level of professional ethics and integrity.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate and comprehensive records.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate cases for referral suitability and match with appropriate firms
  • Expand and maintain referral partner network
  • Assess partner firm performance and outcomes
  • Handle inbound referred leads and guide clients through retainer execution
  • Deliver high-quality client experience during intake process
  • Maintain consistent communication with referral firms and clients
  • Provide updates on case status, settlement, and disbursement
  • Track SOL deadlines and ensure proper case handling
  • Maintain referral database (outcomes, notes, feedback)
  • Monitor settlements and ensure fee recovery
  • Support revenue forecasting through documentation
  • Work with internal teams on intake, case handling, and issue resolution
