About The Position

Reporting to the Practice Manager, this position assists with the overall coordination of primary care referrals, as well as provider relations. The incumbent obtains authorizations, tracks referrals, verifies insurance information, and coordinators care for patients.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Two (2) years of experience as a referral specialist in a medical office
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card
• Effective problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills
• Demonstrated ability to show initiative and decision-making skills
• Ability to communicate effectively both written and oral
• Ability to operate office equipment, organize and manage workload with strong typing skills
• Ability to handle matters with strict confidentiality
• Ability to demonstrate outstanding performance in a team environment while providing a strong customer service focus
