About The Position

Boyer Children's Clinic is currently seeking a Full-Time Referral & Intake Support Specialist to join our team! Boyer provides medical, therapy, special education and family services to infants and young children with developmental delays, and their families. The Referral & Intake Support Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for families during the Early Support for Infants and Toddlers (ESIT) referral and intake process, guiding them through initial enrollment with clarity and compassion. This role works closely with multidisciplinary teams, referral partners, and families to coordinate intake appointments, manage documentation, and support timely access to services. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping families, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and values meaningful, mission-driven work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.), in related field preferred, or Associates Degree/High school diploma with relevant work experience considered
  • Previous work experience in child development and early intervention preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience working with multiple professional disciplines.
  • Valid Washington State Driver’s License, automobile insurance, and a reliable means of transportation.
  • Ability to pass Washington State DSHS criminal history and background check, and FBI fingerprint check.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships
  • Proficient with computers, databases, and electronic records systems
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse families and multidisciplinary professionals
  • Knowledge of child development, medical terminology, and early intervention systems preferred
  • Ability to travel within the service area to meet with families and community partners

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a welcoming point of contact for families and referral sources
  • Receive referrals and gather required intake information
  • Coordinate intake evaluation appointments and interpreter services
  • Facilitate family enrollment orientations and explain ESIT services and procedural safeguards
  • Prepare and manage intake paperwork and enrollment documentation
  • Maintain accurate electronic records in Raintree and the ESIT Data Management System (DMS)
  • Connect families who are not eligible for ESIT with appropriate community resources
  • Collaborate closely with Family Resource Coordinators and multidisciplinary teams to support smooth transitions into services
