University Surgeons Associates is seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate full-time Referral Coordinator to join our dedicated team. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred)
- Medical Assistant/LPN experience preferred
- Previous experience in a medical office or referral coordination role required
- Strong understanding of insurance processes and medical terminology
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency in EHR systems, preferably Greenway/Intergy and Microsoft Office Suite
Nice To Haves
- Associate’s degree
- Medical Assistant/LPN experience
- Proficiency in Greenway/Intergy EHR systems
Responsibilities
- Communicate with patients, providers, and staff as necessary to ensure timely and accurate referral completion
- Verify insurance coverage and assess clinical reasoning for specific appointments
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to support seamless patient care
