About The Position
The Referral Coordinator plays a central role in managing the referral process for both internal and external referrals to specialty and sub-specialty providers. This position works with all Cox Medical Group clinics to ensure patients receive timely appointments and attend them. The Referral Specialist also supports centralized functions for referral management with internal and external partners.
Requirements
- High school diploma or Equivalent
- 1 year customer service experience
- Strong customer service skills when working with various staff members
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and be self-directed to complete referrals in a timely manner
- Excellent time management skills
- Proficient using computers, including all Microsoft programs
- Promote the mission and values of CoxHealth
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in an ambulatory clinic setting
