About The Position
Dallas Regional Medical Center, a member of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Referral Coordinator to join their award-winning team. This role is responsible for referral operations at assigned clinics, establishing and standardizing systems and procedures for the distribution and use of health information throughout the organization, and coordinating referral functions with all other departments. The hospital is a 202-bed acute care facility accredited by The Joint Commission, offering a wide range of medical services and recognized for its patient safety and quality of care.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- One year of medical office experience.
- Knowledge of standard insurance companies and verification requirements.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Familiar with Medical billing, Insurances and program processes.
Responsibilities
- Manage referral operations at assigned clinics.
- Establish and standardize systems and procedures for the distribution and use of health information.
- Coordinate referral functions with all other departments.
- Ensure patient and accounts are financially secure by verifying insurance information, authorizing procedures, and validating patient demographics.
- Manage outgoing and incoming referrals.
- Schedule appointments.
- Perform patient check-in.
- Answer phones.
- Manage charts.
- Perform various administrative, secretarial, and clerical duties.
