The FBM Reentry Interfaces Team, is seeking a Reentry Systems Engineer to work as liaison between a diverse array of teams from several technical disciplines both within and outside of Lockheed Martin. In this role you will facilitate translation of system requirements and architecture into a set of interfaces that meet system needs. In addition, you will evaluate, communicate, document, and maintain the agreed upon design solution between teams. The Reentry Systems Engineer will: Focus on Electrical interfaces between systems and subsystems in a highly complex system-of-systems environment. Focus on Electrical interfaces encompass communications, compatibility, and interoperability of electrical and software systems, including radio frequency (RF) hardware. Work independently to develop detailed action plans and schedules to accomplish major efforts involving multiple teams.

Requirements

  • Experience with Electrical, Electro-mechanical, Software, Systems and/or Computer Engineering
  • Experience with design, test and/or integration of electrical systems
  • Demonstrated ability to work within and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams
  • Current Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
  • Must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Nice To Haves

  • Model Based Engineering / Model Based Systems Engineering experience (Cameo experience a plus)
  • Generation of high-level interconnect diagrams using electrical or cabling software tools (such as Zuken E3)
  • Current Top Secret clearance
  • Specification, collection, processing, and/or analysis of analog and digital signals
  • Knowledge of interface protocols, such as SpaceWire, RS-422, Ethernet, etc.
  • Experience with FBM processes a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
