Position: Reefer Trailer Mechanic

Requirements

• Ability to understand oral and written communication.
• Utilize service manuals, technical bulletins and various written directives.
• Must be able to work any shift.
• Own necessary basic tools.
• Must obtain and hold OEM-s Certification in: Basic Refrigeration and Electrical and Welding /Soldering Air Condition certified in 608 refrigerant.
• Certified in AC repair.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of Thermo King and Carrier units preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for repairs and required preventative maintenance of trailers.
• Build, rebuild and repair all parts of trailer equipment, as may be required in the department assigned to..
• Performs mid-range diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Diagnoses and detects reefer leaks and repair.
• Diagnosis and repairs: Electrical components, oil leaks, fuel systems.
• Knowledge of Thermo King and Carrier units preferred.
• EPA certification needed.
• Must furnish own hand tools.
• Must be able to use hand tools and test equipment.
• Follow good housekeeping standards.
• Operate a forklift.
• Perform related duties as required by Management.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Must follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report all accidents to a manager or supervisor.
