About The Position

RSS Mobile Trailer Repair is looking for an experienced Mobile Reefer Technician who knows truck and trailer refrigeration systems. A successful applicant for this position will have strong experience with transport refrigeration, reefer unit service, truck HVAC / auxiliary HVAC, trailer refrigeration systems, and diesel-powered refrigeration equipment. Knowledge and repair experience with Thermo King, SB and Precedent units is required. V-320 units for transit vans are also helpful. The role involves mobile truck service and requires the ability to work safely and independently.

Requirements

3+ years of hands-on mechanical experience in transport refrigeration, reefer service, truck service.
EPA 608 Type 2 Certification
Valid driver’s license and willingness to obtain a Chauffeur’s License
Ability to lift 50 lbs
Ability to pass a DOT Physical and drug screen

Nice To Haves

Direct experience with Thermo King or Carrier reefer units
Cargo Bull training or certificate or willingness to get trained in this system
Experience working in a mobile reefer tech role
Knowledge of V-320 units for transit vans
Mobile truck service experience

Responsibilities

Inspect, diagnose, repair and service transport refrigeration systems and associated equipment
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, diesel and refrigeration problems on trucks and trailers
Repair and maintain reefer units, truck air conditioning systems, trailer refrigeration equipment and related components
Read, interpret and apply electrical and refrigeration diagrams and schematics
Accurately document work performed
Maintain all safety standards for repairs and safe operation of truck and equipment.
