About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Red Seal Roofer/Foreman focused on industrial roofing repairs, maintenance, and modifications in Fort McMurray. Our projects are primarily on administration buildings, maintenance shops, and ATCO trailer complexes within active industrial sites. This role is ideal for someone who excels in troubleshooting, working through existing conditions, and leading efficient repair-focused crews. This is a contract role of 3 months until July 31st. The shift is 6 days on/1 day off - 10/12 Hr/Day. Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Red Seal Roofer/ Roofing Foreman (service/repair experience strongly preferred)
  • Strong troubleshooting and leak detection skills
  • Hands-on experience with membrane and torch-on systems
  • Experience working on industrial sites
  • Valid CSTS certification
  • Ability to obtain and maintain site access (including D&A testing and orientations)
  • Fall Protection certification (required)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise crews performing roofing repairs, service work, and system modifications
  • Assess roof conditions, identify deficiencies, and determine repair approaches
  • Complete and oversee work on: Membrane systems (TPO, EPDM, PVC)
  • Complete and oversee work on: Torch-on (modified bitumen) systems
  • Complete and oversee work on: Leak detection and targeted repairs
  • Perform tie-ins, retrofits, penetrations, and small re-roof sections
  • Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards
  • Coordinate with site personnel, project managers, and other trades in active facilities
  • Complete daily reports, hazard assessments, and service documentation
  • Mentor crew members and maintain productivity in a service environment
