We are currently hiring a Truck & Transport Red Seal Mechanic to join our fleet shop. In this role, you’ll perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on a modern fleet, while supporting apprentices and contributing to a strong safety-first culture. Requirements

  • Truck & Transport Red Seal Certificate (or equivalent provincial license)
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license
  • Adequate personal tool set for heavy vehicle maintenance
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Comfortable using electronic repair manuals, diagnostic software, and work-order systems
  • Willingness to work assigned shifts and occasional on-call rotation

Nice To Haves

  • Higher classes driver’s license considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain all areas of the fleet, including: Brakes, suspensions, steering, and driveline
  • Engine performance and tune-ups
  • Transmissions and clutches
  • Electrical and auxiliary systems
  • Perform and lead Preventative Maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual certifications
  • Remove, repair, and reinstall major mechanical components with minimal supervision
  • Complete work orders accurately, including parts, labor, and documentation
  • Identify and report unsafe conditions, defects, or required repairs
  • Conduct road calls and provide on-site emergency service as needed
  • Ensure all work complies with company policies, safety standards, and provincial regulations
  • Safely move vehicles within the yard and shop
  • Support and mentor apprentice mechanics
  • Participate in ASE certification programs (training and bonuses provided)
