About The Position

Keep production running smarter, every night. At MDI, we produce specialty Milk Protein Concentrate and butter products that support food systems across Canada—24/7, 365 days a year. As a Maintenance Technician (Red Seal Millwright) on our Monday–Friday night shift, you’ll play a critical role in keeping a complex, high-performing dairy operation reliable, safe, and future-ready. This is hands-on work with real impact: fewer breakdowns, stronger systems, and better uptime.

Requirements

• Red Seal Millwright certification
• 2+ years of manufacturing experience (food production is an asset).
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, including pumps and vacuum systems.
• Experience working with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS tools.
• A safety-first approach and familiarity with ISO, HACCP, GMP, 5S, or TPM.

Nice To Haves

• welding, minor plumbing, or refrigeration experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and overhaul mechanical food processing equipment to restore operations quickly and safely.
• Respond to breakdowns with confidence, including call-ins or overtime when required.
• Execute predictive and preventive maintenance that reduces downtime and extends equipment life.
• Help shape smarter PM schedules that support a 24/7 operation.
• Maintain plant utilities, ancillary equipment, and building control systems.
• Install and commission new or upgraded equipment with a focus on long-term performance.
• Collaborate with other trades and communicate clearly between shifts to keep everyone aligned.
