The future team member will accomplish assigned tasks through the safe and effective use of hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools. This position also requires that the Millwright troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic problems with associated equipment. The Millwright is also responsible for repairing malfunctioning equipment, such as motors, pumps, valves, controls, and other machines on surface and underground at our Pugwash Mine in Nova Scotia. The individual will have the ability to troubleshoot major and minor mechanical problems, as well as have the ability to repair and adjust all necessary mechanical components. Work assignments will be received in the form or oral and written work orders, but the employee is expected to determine the nature and extent of needed repairs along with other assigned duties.

Requirements

Red Seal Millwright certification
Ability to use hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools.
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic problems.
Ability to repair malfunctioning equipment.
Ability to troubleshoot major and minor mechanical problems.
Ability to repair and adjust all necessary mechanical components.

Responsibilities

Accomplish assigned tasks through the safe and effective use of hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools.
