About The Position
General Maintenance positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. You must be willing to set up, adjust, and break down production line machinery. Must be willing to learn Tyson SAP software to make work orders and fill out the daily documentation that is required in the system. Must be able to communicate clearly with Upper Management and team members via phone, in person, and in writing regarding the status of equipment repairs.
Requirements
- A minimum of 1-year related maintenance experience and/or technical certifications
- Working knowledge of electricity, power transmissions, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, cutting, and the use of shop tools
- Ability to work with others to adhere to Tyson's safety culture
- Ability to read and write
- Ability to use math as needed to make work-related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc.
- Willing and able to lift 70 lbs. with assistance on a daily basis
- Able to work on your feet for 12 hours
- Willing to complete all required training for the job
