About The Position

Modesto Battery Company & Supplies, Inc. is seeking a reliable, trustworthy, and responsible team member to join their crew as a Recycling Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing pallets of junk batteries to meet DOT specifications for shipment to recycling vendors. You will also perform a variety of tasks including hooking batteries to chargers, loading/unloading shipments, assisting customers with battery recycling, and maintaining a clean work environment.

Requirements

• Must pass a background check and drug test.
• Must have proof of ability to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pallets of junk batteries to meet DOT specifications for shipment.
• Hook batteries up on chargers daily.
• Load and unload shipments.
• Assist customers with recycling batteries and process payments.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Operate a forklift safely and responsibly.
• Lift and move batteries weighing 60–80 lbs throughout the day.
• Consistently move, lift, and stack batteries.
• Load and unload bins of batteries.
• Stack batteries on pallets in accordance with DOT shipment rules.
