About The Position

The Recycling Associate supports Raymour & Flanigan’s recycling operations while following the company’s safety policies and procedures. The role operates recycling machinery, including a cardboard bailer, styrofoam extruder, and plastic compactor, and may require certification on material handling equipment such as an order picker and electric pallet jack. Associates work independently and with a team, listen carefully, and perform other duties assigned by management.

The position requires lifting, lowering, pushing, and pulling furniture of various sizes, including items weighing more than 100 pounds, and safely lifting recycling products into machinery. The company supports a drug- and smoke-free work environment. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift, lower, push, and pull furniture of all sizes, including items weighing more than 100 pounds.
• Ability to safely lift recycling products into machinery.
• Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Excellent listening skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience operating an order picker and electric pallet jack.
• Experience operating a cardboard bailer, styrofoam extruder, and plastic compactor.
• Experience with warehouse management systems.
