About The Position

As a machine assistant at Southeastern Paperboard, Inc., you will be responsible for loading and unloading conveyor belts with loose or shredded paper/cardboard, learning and organizing material paper grades, operating in a safe and productive manner, and working with maintenance to improve machine reliability. The role requires working in a climate-controlled environment that can be warm in the summer and comfortable in cooler weather. You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced and potentially dusty environment. The position guarantees 40 hours per week, rain or shine, with overtime available. There is an opportunity for advancement and quarterly bonuses for employees with no absences.

Requirements

• Must be able to work in a climate-controlled environment that is warm in the summer months and comfortable during cooler weather.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Should be comfortable working in an environment that can become very dusty.
• Should be able to lift between 50 and 75 pounds, repeatedly, without assistance.
• Must be able to stand, walk, twist and bend, carry, reach or work at/over the shoulder; bend, climb, push, and pull continuously to complete job tasks.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in manufacturing, landscaping, or construction is preferred.
