Sorter - 2nd Shift
About The Position
Waste Connections has an immediate opening for a Recycle Center Sorter to join the team in Plainfield, IL. This role is responsible for safely and efficiently processing incoming recyclable materials. The sorter will sort recycled material onto different conveyor belts and move material to the appropriate areas. Additionally, the role includes maintaining the cleanliness of the recycling area and yard, assisting with equipment maintenance (baler and conveyor line), assuming custodial duties as needed, and performing other manual labor that does not involve the operation of heavy equipment.
Requirements
- Ability to lift 50lbs repeatedly throughout the day.
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
Responsibilities

- Maintain the cleanliness of the recycling area and yard outside.
- Help maintain equipment such as baler and conveyor line.
