About The Position

Yazoo Mills, Inc., a leading manufacturer of paper tubes and cores, is seeking a Recut Setup Operator for their second shift at the Plant 2 facility in Hanover, PA. The Recut Setup Operator will be responsible for setting up recutting machines to cut cores into smaller lengths according to industry specifications, running and understanding the operation of these machines, and problem-solving any related issues.

Requirements

High school education/GED
1-2 years of manufacturing experience with prior machine operation and set up experience
Must be able to read a tape measure
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

Read and understand spec sheets and production orders to set up machines correctly to produce a quality product.
Measure, caliper, and check the overall quality of tolerances per the spec sheet.
Understand all machine operations to cut the product to spec sheet/customer specifications.
Identify quality deficiencies and perform corrective actions.
Communicate finished product status on production orders.
Comply with safety regulations/procedures and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Accept and receive supervision and assistance with machine set-up and other assigned tasks.
Lift 50 lbs., bend and twist throughout the work day.
