About The Position

The Recruitment Specialist collaborates with Clinical Directors and the Assistant Director of HR to assess recruitment needs and assists managers with staffing plans to ensure adequate staff. This role is crucial in developing and implementing workforce staffing plans, building school relationships, participating in job fairs, college recruitment drives, and utilizing internet recruitment, advertising, and open house opportunities for clinical applicants. The specialist will work closely with Marketing to develop marketing campaigns and with the Foundation Director to determine grant funding for key positions. Responsibilities include ensuring the accuracy of applications, performing reference checks, verifying licensure and educational credentials, and coordinating pre-employment screenings, background checks, and orientation schedules. The role also involves tracking time-to-fill metrics, coordinating interdepartmental transfers and promotions, generating ideas for recruitment and retention improvements, and contributing to recruitment strategies for both clinical and non-clinical candidates. The Recruitment Specialist will conduct full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, resume screening, and updating job descriptions. Daily sourcing of applications, assisting in interview processes, making offers of employment, representing the organization at events, maintaining a candidate pipeline, and ensuring a positive candidate experience are also key functions. Staying updated on industry trends and best practices in recruitment and human resources is essential.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in recruitment, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong understanding of clinical and non-clinical roles within a hospital environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Demonstrated creative and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Must Have Computer Experience With Software Applications.
  • Professional Demeanor And Appearance, Excellent Grammar And Oral And Written Communication Skills.
  • Ability To Interact With All Levels Of Employees/Applicants.
  • Must Be Well Organized And Have The Ability To Prioritize In Order To Meet The Demands Of The Position.
  • Must Be Familiar With Staffing Allocation.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with Clinical Directors and Assistant Director, HR to assess recruitment needs.
  • Assists managers with staffing plans to ensure adequate staff.
  • Assists with development and implementation of workforce staffing plan as needed, developing school relationships, participating in job fairs, college recruitment drives, Internet recruitment, advertising, and open house opportunities for clinical applicants.
  • Works closely with Marketing to develop marketing campaign.
  • Works closely with Foundation Director to determine grant funding for key positions or opportunities.
  • Ensures accuracy of application by verifying data provided by applicant, performs reference checks, licensure, and educational verification and any other testing or credentialing prior to hiring.
  • Ensures scheduling and completion of all pre-employment physical screening, background checks, orientation start dates, licensure, etc., and ensures new hire reports to work as directed by hiring manager.
  • Track and trend time-to-fill.
  • Coordinates interdepartmental transfers and promotions. This includes scheduling interviews, salary recommendations and follow-up with all candidates.
  • Generates ideas and proposes to improvements of recruitment and retention with special emphasis on difficult to recruit areas.
  • Follows and contributes to recruitment strategies to attract qualified clinical and non-clinical candidates.
  • Conduct full-cycle recruitment processes, including job postings, resume screening, updating job postings and descriptions into standard format.
  • Daily sourcing of applications and assisting in interview processes as needed.
  • Make offer of employment for all positions managed within the Human Resources department.
  • Represent Scotland Health Care System at events and presentations.
  • Maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for future openings.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in recruitment and human resources.
