About The Position

The Recruitment & Outreach Specialist supports the Career Access Program, a community outreach initiative that provides vocational rehabilitation services to individuals with disabilities. The specialist advances the program’s growth by raising awareness, conducting community outreach, and recruiting potential participants. The role is based in the Bronx, NY 10455.

Requirements

Associate degree or 60 college credits; alternatively, a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience in outreach, social services, or a related field providing counseling and placement services.
Demonstrated verbal and written communication abilities.
Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

Conduct outreach to diverse community-based organizations, nonprofits, and city agencies to promote the Career Access Program.
Present information about the Career Access Program to audiences at community board meetings, nonprofit conferences, and agency events.
Distribute marketing materials, such as brochures, flyers, and social media posts, to promote the program and its services.
Coordinate and participate in community events, career fairs, and information sessions to recruit potential participants.
Build relationships with community partners, advocacy groups, and local service organizations to expand the program’s reach.
Identify and engage individuals with disabilities who may benefit from the program’s services.
Work with the Program Manager and team members to coordinate recruitment, enrollment, and service delivery.
