About The Position
Capital City Nurses is seeking a full-time Recruitment & Employment Specialist to help grow and strengthen its caregiving team in Maryland. This is an onsite position at the company's Howard County, Maryland office, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; it is not remote or hybrid. The specialist leads recruitment efforts, supports candidate screening and onboarding, and develops caregiver engagement and retention initiatives. The role also supports new-hire orientation, personnel-file and screening compliance, and operational needs, including on-call support and resolving challenges.
Requirements
- Strong relationship-building skills and ability to connect with people.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Organized, adaptable, and able to problem-solve on the fly.

- Healthcare or customer service experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead recruitment strategies, including job fairs and referral networks.
- Screen, interview, and onboard candidates who demonstrate the company's values.
- Develop recognition programs, track turnover, and create caregiver retention strategies.
- Deliver orientations for new hires.
- Maintain personnel files, oversee screenings, and ensure audit readiness.
- Support on-call needs, resolve challenges, and help keep operations running smoothly.
