About The Position

Capital City Nurses is seeking a full-time Recruitment & Employment Specialist to help grow and strengthen its caregiving team in Maryland. This is an onsite role in Howard County, Maryland, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; it is not remote or hybrid. The specialist leads recruitment efforts, finds and onboards candidates aligned with the organization’s values, and supports caregiver engagement and retention. The role also includes delivering new-hire orientations, maintaining personnel files and screening compliance, and assisting with on-call needs and operational challenges. The position is presented as a leadership opportunity with a focus on community impact and compassionate care.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to build relationships and connect with people.
Organization, adaptability, and problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

Lead recruitment strategy through activities such as job fairs and referral networks.
Screen, interview, and onboard candidates who reflect the organization’s values of Compassion, Attitude, Respect, and Excellence.
Develop recognition programs, track turnover, and design strategies to improve caregiver retention and engagement.
Deliver orientations that welcome and inspire new hires.
Maintain personnel files, oversee screenings, and ensure audit readiness.
Support on-call needs, resolve challenges, and help keep operations running smoothly.
