About The Position

We’re seeking a Recruiting Specialist to join our Talent Acquisition team and support hiring efforts across multiple departments and properties. This role works closely with other recruiting specialists and hiring managers to assist in all areas of recruitment, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, onboarding support, recruiting events, and candidate engagement. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and passionate about connecting great people with career opportunities in hospitality. This role is on-site at our Myrtle Beach, SC office and offers a rate of $15.00 and up per hour.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in recruitment, administration, or human resources strongly preferred
  • Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record
  • Demonstrates strong technical proficiency and computer literacy, including Microsoft or Google Office and social media platforms
  • Self-motivated and able to take initiative without waiting for direction
  • Critical thinker with the ability to independently problem-solve
  • Exceptional time management, multitasking, and the ability to prioritize effectively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including professional email and phone etiquette
  • Must be able to change activity frequently and cope with interruptions
  • Passion for providing exceptional service to guests and team members
  • Proven job reliability, diligence, dedication, and attention to detail
  • Teamwork and collaboration
  • Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality business, team members may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs, including weekends and evenings on occasion

Responsibilities

  • Assist with interviewing, onboarding, and associate engagement efforts
  • Proactively source candidates through diverse channels, independently identifying and utilizing innovative recruitment methods
  • Conduct telephone screenings for any qualified candidates
  • Scheduled interviews with the hiring managers for the candidates who passed the telephone screening
  • Utilize applicant tracking to maintain candidate data (screening, interviewing, etc.)
  • Communicate with hiring managers on a regular basis regarding open positions and their details, and create a strategy to fill each
  • Post open positions and source candidates through networking, job boards, associate referrals, social media, active applicants, college postings, and other venues
  • Ensure job post details are accurate and complete
  • Attend college, company, community, and property job fairs
  • Research and evaluate new sourcing avenues, presenting recommendations to the team
  • Build and maintain a robust candidate pipeline by reconnecting with past applicants and leveraging the Talent Pool
  • Strengthen the company’s LinkedIn presence by mastering the platform’s tools, optimizing job visibility, proactively sourcing candidates, and building a professional network
  • Actively network within industry circles to expand connections, promote opportunities, and enhance the company’s talent reach
  • Communicate any deficiencies in the process or lags in response times to the Talent Acquisition Manager and General Manager for correction
  • Other duties, as assigned
