About The Position

Oden is a Manufacturing AI company at the forefront of the fourth industrial revolution, leveraging real-time data, ML, and AI to improve manufacturing efficiency and productivity. The company is seeking a temporary contractor to cover for their People Operations Manager who will be on parental leave from July to December. This role is primarily focused on recruiting but will also involve HR operations and office management. The position requires someone who can quickly grasp context, work independently, and maintain processes with minimal supervision. The role is execution-focused, with clear runbooks provided and the SVP of Finance as the strategic escalation point.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in recruiting and/or people operations, ideally at a fast-moving startup.
  • Proven ability to source and hire across a range of role types, including technical and GTM roles, in both US and LATAM markets.
  • Strong organizational instincts and the confidence to manage processes independently.
  • Comfortable working with ATS, HRIS, and sourcing tools such as Ashby, Justworks, Rippling, LinkedIn RecruiterLite, and Juicebox.
  • Proactive in identifying and flagging problems early.

Responsibilities

  • Own full-cycle hiring for open roles across the US and LATAM, including sourcing, screening, running interview processes, coordinating references, and managing offers.
  • Source proactively using LinkedIn RecruiterLite and Juicebox, as agencies are not used.
  • Post new roles and set up interview processes in Ashby, using job descriptions and interview processes provided by hiring managers.
  • Manage all pipelines in Ashby, ensuring accuracy of stages and keeping candidates informed.
  • Run intake calls with hiring managers to quickly understand new roles.
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews across the team.
  • Run kick-off calls and debriefs with the interview panel.
  • Proactively follow up with hiring managers for feedback to keep the process moving.
  • Own onboarding and offboarding end-to-end using Rippling, Justworks, laptops, and other systems.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee HR questions, including benefits queries, policy questions, and basic admin in Justworks.
  • Handle routine compliance tasks such as I-9 verification, required notices, and record-keeping.
  • Support communications for benefits open enrollment.
  • Manage the NYC office, including stocking snacks and supplies.
  • Coordinate team happy hours and social events.
  • Manage logistics for the company-wide onsite event, including venue, travel coordination, and agenda support.
