About The Position

Pacific Northern Environmental LLC (PNE LLC) is seeking a Recruiting Coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced, team environment and has the ability to provide exceptional service and skills to our company, clients, and employees. Pacific Northern Environmental, LLC consists of five divisions including Advanced Electrical Technologies (AET), Taurus Power and Controls (Taurus), Cowlitz Clean Sweep (CCS), Pacific Northern Environmental Construction (PNEC), and WasteXpress Environmental (WXE). Together, we specialize in commercial and petroleum construction, industrial and commercial electrical, industrial cleaning, and hazardous waste disposal. PNE LLC is a multi-state organization with operating offices in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Hawaii. In addition, we carry out projects across the United States. The Recruiting Coordinator is responsible for supporting the talent acquisition function by coordinating and facilitating the end-to-end recruitment process for all of PNE’s divisions, industries, and operating states. This is a high-complexity, high-volume role requiring the ability to manage concurrent searches spanning construction, electrical, industrial cleaning, and hazardous waste sectors, ranging from field level trades to professional and management positions. This position ensures smooth and positive candidate experience while assisting hiring managers with scheduling, communication, and administrative tasks The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, multi-industry environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license required and the ability to be insured under the company’s insurance plan.
  • 3 years of experience in recruiting/HR support and experience in a high-volume or fast-paced recruiting environment
  • Familiarity with onboarding processes, interviewing techniques, and HR compliance requirements.
  • Experience recruiting in construction/blue-collar industry is highly preferred,
  • Experience supporting multiple (satellite) departments preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative
  • Experience working with an ATS (UKG, BambooHR) preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Detail-oriented with high level of accuracy
  • Move about the jobsite as needed.
  • Move work related equipment up to 10lbs.
  • Remain in a stationary position for long periods of time.
  • Operate various technological devices, including but not limited to a computer.
  • Occasionally ascend/descend stairs.
  • Occasional travel required for hiring events, up to 15% (WA, occasionally OR and ID)
  • Position is in-office in Longview, WA, Monday-Friday when not traveling

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates, hiring managers, and interview panels.
  • Conduct initial phone screens to assess candidate qualifications and alignment with role requirements.
  • Sit in on interviews and provide feedback on candidate fit and interview outcomes.
  • Create and update job descriptions; recommend changes based on market trends and compensation data.
  • Manage candidate communications, including confirmations, follow-ups, and status updates.
  • Maintain and update Applicant tracking system (ATS) with accurate candidate information.
  • Assist with job postings across various platforms and ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Support resume screening and candidate outreach efforts.
  • Prepare interview materials and coordinate logistics (virtual and in-person).
  • Assist in creating and sending out offer letters, in alignment with federal/state law and company policies.
  • Coordinate candidate flow and ATS activity in partnership with external staffing and headhunting agencies supporting sales and select professional-level searches.
  • Coordinate pre-employment processes, including background checks and drug screenings.
  • Ensure a high-quality candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
  • Developing new programs or internships to attract new graduates or students.
  • Maintain confidentiality of candidate and company information
  • Partner closely with the Safety Department to coordinate and schedule new hire orientation.
  • Serve as point of contact for candidates and hiring managers throughout the recruiting process, addressing questions and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Attend and support hiring events across Washington and Oregon, potential travel to Idaho.
  • Partner with PNEC Business Manager and leadership to assist in planning and executing internal events.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing/Sales team to support recruiting-related social media and employer branding efforts.
  • Other duties as assigned.
