We’re hiring a Recruiting Associate to support recruiting efforts across a portfolio of roofing and home improvement brands within the Vertex network. This role is ideal for someone with 1–2 years of recruiting experience (or closely related experience) who is looking to continue building strong fundamentals in full-cycle recruiting while working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. You’ll partner closely with our Talent Acquisition team and business leaders to support hiring across a range of roles, including sales, contact center/customer experience, support staff, and production. Over time, you’ll have the opportunity to take on increasing ownership of recruiting workflows and hiring relationships as you develop in the role. You’ll be based in our corporate office in Charlotte, NC on a hybrid basis while supporting hiring across multiple states and collaborating with hiring managers across the country.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of recruiting experience (in-house or agency)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills—you’re comfortable engaging with a wide range of people
  • High level of organization and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and a willingness to learn
  • Ability to follow through and maintain attention to detail across multiple tasks
  • Comfort working in a hybrid environment while staying connected to a distributed team

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting hiring for sales, customer service, or high-volume roles
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems or recruiting tools
  • Exposure to roofing, home services, or trades-based industries

Responsibilities

  • Support full-cycle recruiting efforts across a variety of roles including Sales Representatives, Sales Managers, Call Center Representatives, Production, and other administrative positions.
  • Partner with team members and hiring managers to understand hiring needs and priorities
  • Source candidates through job boards, referrals, networking, and other creative channels (training and guidance provided)
  • Conduct initial candidate screens to assess qualifications, communication skills, and role alignment
  • Coordinate interviews and manage candidate flow throughout the hiring process
  • Build and maintain candidate pipelines for recurring or high-volume roles
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience through timely communication and follow-up
  • Track recruiting activity and maintain accurate data within the applicant tracking system
  • Support employer branding efforts through social media, referrals, and local engagement opportunities
  • Continuously learn and apply best practices in sourcing, interviewing, and stakeholder communication
