About The Position

The Recruiting Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the HR department in all aspects of recruitment and onboarding. This role is responsible for coordinating candidate communications, assisting with new hire onboarding, managing student rotation requests from local schools, conducting reference checks, and supporting other recruiting activities to ensure a smooth and efficient hiring process.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or HR certification preferred.
  • 1–2 years of experience in HR or recruiting support roles.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with posting job openings on internal and external platforms.
  • Screen resumes and forward qualified candidates to hiring managers.
  • Schedule interviews and maintain communication with candidates throughout the process.
  • Prepare and distribute onboarding materials for new hires.
  • Coordinate orientation sessions and ensure completion of required documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records in the HRIS system.
  • Serve as one of the primary contacts for local schools requesting student rotations or internships.
  • Coordinate schedules and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
  • Track and report on student rotation activities.
  • Conduct professional reference checks for selected candidates.
  • Document and report findings to the HR team and hiring managers.
  • Maintain recruiting files and databases.
  • Assist with generating recruitment reports and metrics.
  • Support HR projects and initiatives as needed.
