About The Position

Opal Security is experiencing significant growth and is seeking a Recruiting and Workplace Experience Coordinator to join their People team. This role is crucial in managing the company's expansion while maintaining its unique culture. The coordinator will be responsible for both talent acquisition and ensuring a positive workplace environment. This position requires a hands-on approach to hiring and fostering a great employee experience. The role is based in downtown San Francisco and requires at least 3 days per week in the office.

Requirements

  • 1–4 years of experience in recruiting, people operations, office management, event coordination, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact warmly with candidates, colleagues, and vendors.
  • Resourceful and proactive problem-solving abilities.
  • Desire for ownership and opportunities for professional growth.
  • Enthusiasm for working in an office environment and contributing to in-person culture building.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using tools like Claude for enhanced organization.

Responsibilities

  • Source candidates creatively through various channels such as LinkedIn, events, and referrals.
  • Manage the candidate lifecycle from initial contact to onsite interviews, ensuring a positive experience for all applicants.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand team needs and identify suitable candidates.
  • Monitor and analyze recruiting processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
  • Oversee the office experience, ensuring it is well-maintained, functional, and enjoyable.
  • Plan and execute various team events, including happy hours, offsites, and team lunches.
  • Coordinate onsite logistics for candidates, new hires, and visitors.
  • Provide support for new hire onboarding to ensure a smooth and welcoming start.
  • Assist with People Operations tasks, including benefits inquiries, HRIS updates, and policy documentation.
  • Support the team by being a proactive problem-solver and facilitator.
