About The Position

Oriana House Inc. is seeking a Recruiter to join their team. The Recruiter will be responsible for reviewing applications, pre-screening candidates, conducting interviews, and managing the hiring process. This role requires strong computer skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team. The position also involves conducting background checks, reference checks, and ensuring compliance with agency objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. A minimum of three (3) years demonstrated experience working in a Human Resource office may be substituted for preferred bachelor’s degree.
  • Exceptional computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and database operations required.
  • Must have ability to relate well with people and possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to multitask and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and a driving record that does not preclude the employee from being covered by Agency liability insurance.
  • Must have the ability to effectively work with Agency employees and outside contacts.
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews applications/resumes for potential interviews and/or hires in accordance with Agency objectives.
  • Logs, sorts, and files applications for current and future employment needs.
  • Pre-screens candidates via scheduled phone interviews using standard department questions.
  • Schedules and conducts first employment interviews weekly as required by current number of open billets to ensure a steady flow of candidates.
  • Reviews social network sites (e.g., Facebook) for inappropriate media/posts/pictures of prospective employees.
  • Conducts preliminary on-line background checks.
  • Accurately conducts and thoroughly documents references.
  • Schedules and conducts hiring paperwork.
