About The Position

Join MITER Brands and play a key role in supporting high-volume manufacturing recruitment across multiple locations. In this role, you will manage full-cycle recruiting for hourly plant positions, from sourcing and screening candidates to coordinating interviews and supporting hiring decisions. You will help deliver a seamless and positive experience for both candidates and hiring teams. You will partner closely with HR, Hiring Managers, and Plant Leadership to meet current and future workforce needs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Additionally, this role provides backup support to the Talent Acquisition (TA) Specialist, ensuring continuity of pre-employment and onboarding processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of recruiting experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience supporting high-volume recruiting environments preferred.
  • Working knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple requisitions and priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and follow-up skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and team-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving manufacturing environment.
  • Must reside in California; preference for Sacramento or Temecula areas.
  • Candidates must provide truthful and complete information regarding their eligibility to work in the U.S. and any current or future need for employment sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a strong understanding of plant operations, including schedules, pay practices, workforce needs, and job requirements.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of hourly requisitions, including posting roles and monitoring applicant flow.
  • Partner with HR, Hiring Managers, and Plant Leadership to align hiring priorities and workforce planning.
  • Lead intake meetings to define job requirements, ideal candidate profiles, and cultural fit.
  • Conduct phone screenings and present qualified candidates to hiring teams.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
  • Maintain consistent communication with candidates and stakeholders throughout the hiring lifecycle.
  • Provide regular updates on pipelines, hiring progress, and market insights.
  • Ensure candidates move through the recruiting process in a timely, professional manner.
  • Utilize the applicant tracking system (ATS) to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance.
  • Source talent through job boards, social media, referrals, community partnerships, and networking events.
  • Build and maintain strong talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
  • Promote MITER Brands’ employer brand within local communities.
  • Participate in job fairs, hiring events, and outreach efforts (including schools and colleges).
  • Encourage and follow up on employee referral activity.
  • Deliver a high level of customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide coverage for onboarding activities during planned or unplanned absences.
  • Coordinate pre-employment requirements, including background checks and drug screenings.
  • Communicate with candidates regarding onboarding steps, documentation, and start-date readiness.
  • Review and track new hire paperwork to ensure completion and compliance.
  • Support I-9 and employment eligibility verification in accordance with company policies.
  • Partner with HR, Payroll, IT, and hiring managers to facilitate a smooth Day 1 experience.
  • Maintain accurate onboarding records and tracking systems.
  • Escalate complex onboarding or compliance issues as needed.
