About The Position

BrightStar Care of Hunterdon County is a leading provider of home healthcare services and a locally owned and operated franchise of the nationally recognized BrightStar Care brand, committed to A Higher Standard of Care. As our Recruiter, you will build the team that delivers that care by sourcing, screening, and hiring qualified healthcare professionals across two locations, our Hunterdon County and Mercer County sites. The role moves quickly and involves managing several open positions across both offices at once, so strong organization and sound judgment are essential.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally in a high-volume environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to source candidates across job boards, social media, ATS platforms, and other recruitment tools.
  • Experience managing compliance steps such as licensing, certification, and background check processes.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfort managing multiple open requisitions at once and adjusting priorities as needs change.
  • Availability for an onsite role based at our Hunterdon County office, with occasional out-of-office work for job fairs, conferences, and community events.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience recruiting in home care, home health, or another healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with New Jersey healthcare credentialing and licensing, including CHHA certification and RN/LPN verification.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Source, recruit, and hire qualified healthcare professionals, including Certified Home Health Aides (CHHAs), Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and other home healthcare staff, to meet ongoing staffing needs across both the Hunterdon County and Mercer County sites.
  • Use job boards, social media, referrals, and networking events to identify and engage candidates.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of candidate status within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Conduct phone screenings, coordinate interviews, and evaluate candidate qualifications and fit for each role.
  • Build and maintain an active candidate pipeline so the team can respond to staffing needs without delay.
  • Ensure all hires meet licensing, certification, background check, and driving record requirements in line with state and federal regulations.
  • Attend job fairs and recruitment events, and build relationships with local trade schools, community organizations, and professional groups to source talent.
  • Prepare and manage contingent offer letters and supporting documentation.
  • Conduct thorough reference checks to confirm candidate reliability and compliance.
  • Maintain strong relationships with candidates to support engagement and long-term retention.
  • Work closely with internal teams to understand staffing priorities, timelines, and challenges.
  • Track and report performance metrics such as time-to-fill, sourcing efficiency, and retention to improve outcomes over time.

Benefits

  • $75,000 base salary , plus performance-based incentive compensation tied to the number of successful hires.
