Recruiter (Part-Time)

Apres NailCity of Industry, CA
$30 - $45Onsite

About The Position

We're looking for a part-time, full-cycle Recruiter to own hiring for our creative and corporate teams, with warehouse recruiting support as needed. This person will manage the entire candidate journey — from sourcing through offer — while also strengthening our employer brand and building long-term talent pipelines in the community. When not actively recruiting, they'll partner closely with our HR Generalist to make sure the transition from "candidate" to "new hire" is seamless.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as a full-cycle recruiter across both creative and corporate functions
  • Comfortable working independently in a part-time capacity while managing multiple open roles

Nice To Haves

  • Prior recruiting experience within beauty, cosmetics, or fashion brands strongly preferred
  • Warehouse/light-industrial recruiting experience is a plus — you'll flex into this as needed

Responsibilities

  • Partner with hiring managers to build clear, compelling job descriptions
  • Create hiring scorecards and a "hiring Venn diagram" for each role, educating hiring managers on the must-haves, nice-to-haves, and culture fit to look for in candidates
  • Source and build pipelines of qualified candidates across creative, corporate, and warehouse roles
  • Conduct initial resume screenings against role requirements
  • Own scheduling and coordination for all interviews — resume screen through hiring manager rounds
  • Conduct first-round phone/video screening interviews to assess qualifications, experience, and fit before advancing candidates to the hiring manager
  • Coordinate reference checks and support offer preparation and negotiation within approved pay bands
  • Track candidates and pipeline status in the ATS (or a shared tracking system), keeping hiring managers updated in real time
  • Serve as the bridge between recruiting and HR: once an offer is accepted, compile a clean handoff packet (start date, role details, hiring manager notes, any special accommodations) for the HR Generalist
  • Confirm all handoff information is accurate and complete so the Generalist can build the new hire's first-day itinerary without needing to chase down details
  • Follow up with the Generalist to confirm the handoff was received and nothing fell through the cracks
  • Keep job postings and the careers page current and on-brand
  • Support light content creation for social/LinkedIn — employee spotlights, culture moments, hiring announcements — in partnership with the marketing team
  • Monitor and respond to employer review sites (Glassdoor, Indeed) to protect and strengthen our reputation as an employer
  • Build relationships with local cosmetology schools, fashion/design programs, and community colleges to create a steady pipeline of creative talent
  • Attend or represent the company at local job fairs and community hiring events, particularly useful for warehouse and seasonal hiring surges
  • Maintain a "silver medalist" list of strong past candidates to re-engage for future openings
  • Manage relationships with any staffing/temp agencies used for warehouse surge support
  • Track basic recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, source of hire, pipeline conversion) to share with hiring managers and leadership
  • Support seasonal hiring planning, especially ahead of Q4 peak season for warehouse and retail-adjacent roles
  • Provide light market/salary benchmarking input for new or evolving roles
